Creating an "Internet Test"

My daughter is one of those people who forwards tons of email to me. Yuck! This morning she forwarded an urgent message about not opening email with the Obama or Bin Ladin subject lines because they contained a nasty virus, would send spam to every email address in your email app, and damage your ha...

Well, Friday night I got a Sprint dataplan with a USB thingy. WOW! I headed out for my project today and was thrilled when I got to test the connection. Out in the boonies and I had 5 out of 6 bars on the connectivity scale, and it was just about decent DSL speed. Sweet!

Re: sidekick

Are you talking acting on an occasional support ticket that comes in when trying to take the day off or are you talking extended road trip or working vacation where you will still need to do several hours of work per day? Actually I have a "project" and have less than 2 weeks to finish, s...

Broadband question

I have a new need to be mobile (well, more mobile). I have Internet access on my phone, but there are some things you just need to do on a laptop, and AT&T's Edge network is just too slow (when a sites logs you out due to inactivity, because you're waiting for the page to load, you know there's ...

Thank you, I'll check into that About a week after our bike was stolen, 2 bikes were stolen from some friends of ours at te track. They live a few towns away. Lucky for them they had an eye witness and were able to recover the bikes within a few days, but their PD turned the bikes over to them immed...

LOL!! Good one! But I don't think the bike engine will do good at running the server I'm not sure what we'll do yet, we have to wait for the bike to actually get back here. By the time that happens the ground may be too frozen to ride and if thats the case, testing a few of the repairs that are need...

Thank you Greg! The officer told Jessi (aside) that she'd more than likely hear who it was through the school grapevine by Friday... that was interesting. I'm sure it will be in the paper as well, since CT considers age 16 to be adult. I'll be keeping my ears opened, I think this will turn out to be...

UPDATE!!!

I got a call this afternoon from the PD and had to go down to the station... I guess miracles do happen THEY "FOUND" THE BIKE!! We were not told who had it, but we were told the kid confessed. I'm sure we'll find out the details soon enough, he does go to Jessi's school. It will be 4-8 wee...

The one that was stolen was a Yamaha TTR125 (4-stroke engine)
The new one is a Kawasaki KX100 (2-stroke engine)

The KX100 is actually a bigger bike size-wise than the TTR and though it is less in cc's, the KX100 seems to be more powerful. (I'm still learning about all this stuff) :o

Oh the new cycle does stay in the house, thats for sure, clean or not (we do hose them both down first though). The muddy pic you see above is of the bike that was stolen, it's blue but you'd never know it. Yes, it is a lot of money, but as a parent I think money well spent. At least MY CHILD didn't...

Bbear - just wanted to express my sympathy. Adults can handle disappointments like these, put them in some kind of context, but for kids, well it just plain stinks. Police don't care, they won't do anything. I called out local news channel and am waiting to hear back. Geeze, the tracks to the neighbors yard are SO clear, I have no doubt they had something to do with it. We've taken photos and video in case the rain later washes things away. I'm in need of a pun...

Whats worse is that we just noticed that there are tracks going from our yard to the neighbor a few houses down (there was lime in the yard). This town stinks - UPDATE

Well I guess it could be any town, but it really stinks. My daughter Jessi rides motocross and this morning we woke up to "no bike". It was stolen! Someone came along with bolt cutters, cut the bolt and the cable and just took it. Unbelievable. That bike was her life and now its just gone....

You can pay SEDO to promote them. And feel free to post them here. Heck, maybe someone is dying to get a domain that you have. As long as you think the prices are fair, they're fair game. I wish SEDO would set up a page for us that we could list all our domains for sale to the public. I did do prom...

Well I thought about that, but I wouldn't feel right soliciting them to my friends for the dollar amounts I'd like to get for them. None are too extravagantly priced, but probably more than expected... I'd been saving a few of them like assets for a rainy day (and its been raining a lot lately).

Selling domain names

Anyone have recommendations for places to sell off domain names? I'm already using Sedo but I'd like to check the alternatives. I have about 25 names to sell.

Thanks
