We're looking to acquire web hosts - 200K-10mil deals up to 1.2-2 times revenue

Subject says it all :)

Reach out to me if you're interested. I'm aggressively pursuing acquisitions and depending on the company we've been hitting 1.2 to 2.0 times multipliers on revenue.

Re: Google rolls out domain registrations

Be one of the first to try Google Domains Last month, Google announced a new product in invite-only beta, called Google Domains - a registrar that helps you find, buy, transfer, and manage all of your site domains. To try it out, apply this code before August 31, 2014, and receive a free one-year re...

It was definitely a marathon phone session. My father and I answered calls for 4 days and most clients were pretty understanding. At one point I had worked 76 hours straight with no sleep before finally crashing.

Re: Memories of Ala

Awesome - I wish I had recordings. Does anyone remember the late night where everyone was just sitting on the line quietly as Navisite would check in from time to time. During the silence I started playing the song "Computer Love" - lol

Memories of Ala

I was sitting here thinking about Alabanza and a couple of pretty funny memories surfaced. During the migration of death in 2007 we were all crammed in a conference line with upwards of a hundred or so participants. Everyone was fighting for time and it was pretty painful. While listening in a user ...

Unfortunately we're yet to purchase a company that was on the rise. Every company we've acquired has shown a slow decline over the prior 2-5 year period. Definitely be careful... We've had mostly good experiences and in all we've made our money back on every acquisition. However here's some info: - ...

The biggest reason I've seen for selling is company decline. The hosting owner is accustomed to living a certain way with X amount in annual revenue. A slow decline makes it so they have to seek employment or they simply can't operate the same. The thought is if I cash out now I can hopefully pay of...

I have heard of some people pulling as much as 2-3 times revenue. However, they accomplish this by using brokers that focus on selling to people that have no experience in hosting. They package the company as a regular offline business and market it.

The Alabanza staff that were there probably specialized in server administration and networking. I'm not sure you would have wanted them packing the servers which is something a shipping company should handle for you.

It was a success for Navis - which handled the move for Navisite. Navis sounds like they did a great job completing the task that Navisite paid them for - moving all of the servers. That's definitely about the 2007 Halloween migration.

Just don't entertain it and they'll probably go away. From my understanding it's no risk to them to farm it to debt collectors. The collectors either buy the debt or they receive a percentage on each collection. However, they'll think long and hard before committing money to an actual attorney to co...
