My sentiments exactly Arf. I think this is a BIG difference between the Alabanza of Old, and the New Alabanza. When things go wrong, it makes it easier on us to have something to tell our clients. As well, it certainly helps us develop a more informed opinion of the service they are providing us. If...

I'm curious to see too, what they have to say about everything that has happened in the last few months.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have had nothing but problems since the switch. Some of my sites were down as a result of the .1.10 IP thing for a couple of weeks. Since that has been resolved my server has been down 3 times (including right now). One of those times...all it needed was a reboo...

I certainly did. In fact, I mentioned this community by name...letting them know that I know what was going on with my server by reading about this same thing happening to the others here. So, THANK YOU - to everyone. In my case, If I wouldn't have heard from you all about the two files to find and ...

We're back up! It took me getting a hold of someone on the above tollfree and holding on the line until they got someone to sit in front of a console and manually bring it back. Of course, the CRON files where exactly wherre you all said they would be and I renamed them as fast as I could Now for so...

Hey Dave, Turns out the toll free number isn;t a "special" number for Alabanza support. It's now THE ONLY number for Alabanza Support. At least that's been my experience tonight. Any rep in the India office tells me they can't help me and to call that number, since "they are Alabanza". To top it off...

To start with, my servers are still down. So I guess the Super Duper 2nd Level Emergency Ticket number they gave me isn't much different than anything else I've received from them up to this point. Not sure abuopt how they route their numbers, but I can say that the representative *seemed* to know w...

Here's where it stands. They couldn't access my IP via their dedicated Hop server. Timed out twice. All old news to me and the clients on my box. Anyway, he is creating a "2nd Level" emergency support ticket that is "just for Alabanza customers". After all of the holding and explaining my situation ...

Update on the phone number I posted earlier. I was on hold from then until just 2 minutes ago when one of their reps finally answered. He's now trying to ping my server from a dedicated "blah blah blah" they have there at Alabanza. We'll see what happens. The funny thing (except that I'm at the end ...

A representative in their India call center just informed me that there is a dedicated Support Group regarding this Alabanza move. The number is: 1-800-361-2682

I'm in queue right now on this new number. Whether or not anyone ther can actually help me is yet to be answered.

Hi Rem,
I'm still dead in the water too. I keep reading and hearing that 95% are back up and running...but statistics mean nothing to the individual.

I've even resorted to being a little obsessive on my sites, constantly hitting refresh, thinking one of the pages will load.

I haven't been able to get them to answer me once with a status report, ETA, nothing. Every time I've called they take a "callback" number. Anyone want to guess how many times I've been called back?

Our server went down sometime last night and we still have yet to see anything today. SSH, URLs and IP addresses are still a no go. Even so, when I call in they keep telling me that 95% of the servers are up and running. So frustrating.

I can see the site after migration, the client can't

Hey guys,
I have a request in through Navisite right now, but you know how that's been recently. My situation is that I can see one of our client's sites...but they can't access it via IP or URL. They are in Atlanta and connected through BellSouth. Is this a DNS routing issue?

Thanks,
Brian

Amazon storage

Has anyone used this rsync solution in conjunction with Amazon's S3 storage service?
( http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html?node=16427261 ) For that matter, has anyone used Amazon S3 services at all?

This may be a mute point since I recently ran across an article that said Amazon Web Services contracted with...wait for it...Navisite.

When you say that only a few hosts are using the API, are you referring to the Bulk Reg API? I'm curious to know if anyone makes sales that are just registers domain name registrations only and how that's handled. Is there an easy way to keep track of clients buying/using multiple products...some so...

Customer Management beyond Control Panel

Hey Guys, New to the forums here and I've been reading up all day. I love the level of comaraderie around here. We are about to undergo a very significant site re-design and I have a question about "Login" sections on your sites. Does anyone have/use anything different than just the Control Panel to...

Hound You Guys

I vaguely remember seeing this site from WAY back when I first started to set up my Alabanza account. At the time I thought, "Remember that site>" But, of course, business happens...and I promptly was deluged with a million other things. This time Around I was doing a Google search from Alabanza scr...
