How Did You Find Alahosts.com?
I'm going to be sending out another invitation letter soon and am wondering how effective the first one was. Since the last one was sent out over 3 months ago I hope people won't consider this as spam.

found by email invite
I am personally glad for the email invite. I am all for open discussion of this type. There is plenty of potential business for most of us and I do not feel this hurts my chances of obtaining new business, but maybe will help me gain some.

Judging from the survey, I'm the only person to have found AlaHosts.com from a search engine... I was trying desperately to find Arf's SpamVault software but was only pulling up links to hosts who offer it to their hosting clients. Then all of a sudden, there was the Server Candy page...
Yeah! I found SpamVault and a LOT of help.
Thanks, all.

DELETE ME FROM THE EMAIL LIST
We send out a single invite to all Alabanza hosts about every three months. I hope that 4 emails a year would be considered spam. Still, if you wish to not get the invites you can email me directly and I'll have your domain removed from the list.

How I found Alahosts
I was reffered to Alahosts by my account manager at Alabanza. Basically I was trying to do stuff with my server that he had no clue as to how to go about it. (of course that seems to be the case with just about any question I have had) He recommended trying here.

The email would have gone to support @ gr-ns.net.
Thomas,
If that's the case then you've found me

Hey M2,
Welcome to the neighborhood. I pretty much sent out an email to every client of Alabanza's support@domain.com address. However, some people /dev/null this address, others have ticket systems that require one to log into them, other just deleted it, others still called me a spammer. Anyway, I' haven't sent out an email in some time.
Glad you found us.

I personally learned about Alahosts at the user conference. Great idea! I think emailing 3-4 times a year so others can learn about it is an excellent idea. I wouldn't catagorize that as spam. Easy to hit delete if they don't want to hear about it but it may give persons who didn't know about it previously the opportunity to learn more about it if they desire. So thanks for the opportunity... as I'm informed email was the first way our business learned about this.

I'm so glad you found us then. I send out a letter to as many alabanza hosts as I can find. Currently that's around 450. The email would have gone to support @ gr-ns.net.
Anyway, I'm glad you're here.
Ahh...so that's why we didn't get our invite...we don't use the support address. Found out about this through Thad.
Googled Alahost
I googled you while looking for info on Alabanza. Thanks to this site, I am a new DSM owner and you can definitly add me to your mailings. And hey, this would be my first post. 9 more to go!
New user - first post
I've been with Alabanza for a couple months now, but just migrated my customers over last week...finally! I heard about Alahosts from my account manager a few days ago. I'm looking forward to getting to know the group.

Hound You Guys
I vaguely remember seeing this site from WAY back when I first started to set up my Alabanza account. At the time I thought, "Remember that site>" But, of course, business happens...and I promptly was deluged with a million other things.
This time Around I was doing a Google search from Alabanza scripts to integrate into our site and guess what...serendipity.

You were lost - but now you are found
I have been with Alabanza for a couple of years, based in the UK the first year was very tough, I sometimes thought that support there had all gone home!
Oh, I wish I'd found you then, hopefully now though I can help as much as be helped as a lot of the suffering is over.
I actually found you buy Google search "Alabanza forums" as I was looking for a way to communicate with other users to discuss a few ideas which will appear on these bulletin boards shortly.
Thanks,
Steve
